For 50 years, the "Centres d'information sur les droits des femmes et des familles" (literally: the Women's and Family Rights Information Centres) - or CIDFF - have been carrying out a mission of general interest, entrusted by the State to promote women's access to rights and their socio-economic integration. CIDFFs help to improve women's lives and build a more equal society by combating sexist and sexual violence and promoting equality between women and men. The national federation currently has 98 local associations and 13 regional federations. CIDFFs operate in 2,300 centres across France, in all départements and some overseas territories, in rural areas, town centres and urban neighbourhoods.
