This project is supported by L'OCCITANE en Provence Benelux.

Context

Environmental education is key to increase awareness and willingness to protect and restore nature. Biodiversity is decreasing rapidly and both restoration and awareness raising actions are necessary to bend the curve.

Supported Project

In 2024-2025, L'OCCITANE en Provence Benelux funded "Tiny Forest", a GoodPlanet project located in Belgium.  A Tiny Forest is a mini forest the size of a tennis court, which, thanks to a special method, develops into a mature forest in 10-30 years after planting. Not only does it boost biodiversity locally, but it also creates an outdoor classroom where children can learn about nature and experience nature. There are 3 stages in the realization of the Tiny Forest : the design, the plantation (600 trees and bushes on minimum 200m²) and the use (nature exploration and education).
