Context
A report carried out by Adie and the Egaé consultancy in 2022 highlighted gender inequalities in the entrepreneurial world. After three years, 83% of businesses created by men are still going strong, compared to 77% of those created by women, and generate 34% less revenue. In addition, 1 in 5 female entrepreneurs has experienced sexism in her business. At the same time, the responsibility for family care still falls mainly on women, and a quarter of them find it difficult to balance their personal and professional time. This creates major problems for the realisation of their projects and makes them more likely to give up.
Supported Project
In 2025-2026, L'Occitane en Provence Manufactures supports Adie's ‘Passage des entrepreneuses’ project, which aims to promote female entrepreneurship. Women are accompanied through personal development workshops, professional training and coaching during the creation of their business, but also in the development and sustainability of their activities. At the same time, the association offers a place for women to live and work in Aix-en-Provence. This collaborative space brings together work environments, an event room, a collective showroom and a photo shoot room with equipment available for use.
