This project is supported by L'OCCITANE UK.

Context

In 2024, 1.6 million women and 1.8 million children in England experienced domestic abuse. As such, in a country where violence against women and girls is a national emergency, Women’s Aid is a national charity working to end this global issue. For 50 years, it has operated in England to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Project Supported

In 2024-2025, L'OCCITANE UK is funding Women's Aid UK's digital Direct Services supporting women experiencing domestic abuse to help them find safety away from abuse. Thanks to a dedicated professional team, women can receive answers to their requests on the same day and be provided with advice including details on refuge vacancies, local service availability, emotional support and signposting to specialist services. This project aims to empower those working with survivors of domestic abuse to make informed and safe decisions.
