This project is supported by L'OCCITANE en Provence's Manufactures.

Context

According to a study conducted by the ADIE in partnership with the firm Egaé in 2022, only 77% of the firms created by women last more than 3 years, compared to 88% of those set up by men. In general, activities launched by women generate lower income than men's, and one in five businesswomen has faced sexism in her business. Moreover, the family burden still mainfly falls to women: for 1/4 of them, finding the balance between their professionnel activity and their personal life is a major obstacle to their project's realization. Women are twice as likely as men to give up on their projects for that very reason.

Supported Project

In 2024-2025, L'OCCITANE en Provence's Manufactures supported an ADIE's project seeking to assist businesswomen in their journey in order to act for more equality in entrepreneurship. Therefore, the "Passage des entrepreneuses" is a space in Aix-en-Provence dedicated to women wanting to launch a project. It helps them start their business and accompany them throughout its realization. The "Passage des entrepreneuses" provides women with a working space, tools and services useful for their activity. Its aims is to foster a community of women able to inspire, help and support each other in order to overcome the obstacles to entrepreneurship.
