Context
Women are under-represented in entrepreneurship, particularly in the Paris region where the female participation rate in start-ups is the lowest in France. This sector underlines both gender-related structural obstacles, as the economic sphere is still largely dominated by male codes, and specific limitations for women such as life and work balance, lack of access to networks and financing or a feeling of illegitimacy.
Supported Project
In 2024-2025, L'OCCCITANE France has supported Women Dare, an Empow'her's program aiming to maintain and strenghthen women on their path to empowerment through a tailored entrepreneurship program. By mobilizing an ecosystem of women entrepreneurs, it creates a sense of community among them. With individual and collective training, this program also facilitates women's entry into the sector. Finally, events are organised in Paris to raise awareness of the intersection of entrepreneurship and gender in order to act on a societal scale.
