This projects is supported by the Spanish subsidiary of L'OCCITANE en Provence.

Context

The project is carried out in two sites: Castellar de Santiago, in the Campo de Montiel region in Ciudad Real. It is a rural area (2,213 inhabitants) dedicated mainly to arid agriculture (olive groves, vineyards and cereals). Villarejo de Salvanés belongs to the Las Vegas region in the Community of Madrid, a predominantly rural area of olive groves and orchards in the region.

Supported Project

In 2023-2024, the Spanish subsidiary of L'OCCITANE en Provence is supporting Ecoherencia. In each of the locations of the project, 105 trees and shrubs (a total of 210) of autochthonous species that attract pollinators and with flowering at different times of the year, as well as various fruit sets, will be planted to also serve as shelter and food for birds. An implantation irrigation will be applied the same day of planting, and in addition they will be given two additional irrigations in the summer. The rest of the maintenance will be carried out with other economic and own means.
