The Scout and Guide Association of Croatia is a non-profit organization with its aim to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals and as responsive citizens.
Boranka concept is simple, yet very effective – children and youth are educated through workshops about the importance of forests and nature preservation and then have the opportunity to plant their own trees in nature. Other citizens can participate also as volunteers or by drawing their trees and planting them in boranka.hr virtual forest. Many European National Scout organizations already participated or supported Boranka campain and in some countries similar projects are being planned.
Boranka campaign and Scout and Guide Association of Croatia actively participate in SDG 13 – Climate action and SDG 15 – life on land as part of the world’s largest coordinated youth contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
