Discover the latest projects selected for the preservation of the natural heritage in Provence and the Mediterranean! L'OCCITANE's commitment to its territory continues to highlight eco-responsible actions and demonstrate its commitment to Provence as well as its support to the economic and cultural dynamics of the region.

In 2017, the L’OCCITANE Foundation grants €60,000 to 7 regional projects on the field raising awareness as well as encouraging concrete actions to preserve this biodiversity.


The L'OCCITANE Foundation, associated with the French Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature since 2015, continues to support the drafting of the red list of Mediterranean coastal ecosystems.
Goal? Preserve 1.2 million hectares by identifying 19 ecosystems in the region.


As a partner of the Federation of National Botanical and Alpine Conservatories (FCBN & CBNA), L'OCCITANE and its Foundation continue their support for the creation of quality lines for the production of wild plants of local origin and the planting of messicole flowers in the cultures of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants. The support of 50 local sectors to the project is the guarantee of an ecological restoration of quality and the creation of an economic activity for the territory.

The L'OCCITANE Foundation is pursuing its commitment initiated in 2016 with the Verdon Regional Nature Park, for the planting of hedges and trees on the plateau of Valensole.

Solidarité Paysans

The L'OCCITANE Foundation is launching a new partnership over 3 years with the Solidarité Paysans Provence Alpes association to support farmers in difficulty through the valorization of sustainable Provençal cultures.

Inula montana

The L'OCCITANE Foundation is partnering this year with the Lubéron Regional Nature Park for a new project of domestication, multiplication and valorization of a threatened endemic plant, the Inula montana.

Musée de l'herboristerie et de la lavande

Finally, the L'OCCITANE Foundation has supported the European University of Scents and Flavours for the creation of its herb and lavender of the Montagne de Lure museum.
