This Friday, March 8, we celebrate Women's Day! Since the 1980s, L'OCCITANE has been working with Burkinabe women producing shea butter with an objective of support and co-development. In 2019, L'OCCITANE continues to promote women's leadership in Burkina Faso by launching a new solidarity balm with shea butter available in L'OCCITANE stores and online, of which 100% of the profits* are donated to projects supported by the Foundation.

Among them, we are closing this year the first edition of the “L'OCCITANE pour Elles” program launched in 2016. This program is a challenge aimed at strengthening women's entrepreneurship while meeting the needs of Burkinabe women. During this edition, four winners were selected and benefited from a complete support in order to develop their activity. This help enabled them to boost their skills on various topics such as administrative, legal and financial management, human resources management or even communication strategies. Thanks to this support, the winners have revitalized and improved their production that allowed them to increase their sales revenue.
