Context

The New South Wales region has suffered significant loss of natural habitats since European colonization.

Only 3% open woodland habitats remain in the Habitat 141. This area contains more than 200 species of flora and fauna that are listed as threatened.

Supported Project

L’OCCITANE Australia and the L’OCCITANE Foundation are supporting a project to regenerate ecosystems through reforestation. This tree planting programme helps preserve these ecosystems in a sustainable manner by planting native species.

In addition to this project, there is an awareness component among citizens on the importance of preserving the environment and among farmers on sustainable planting practices.
