Context

German state forests have been dominated by monocultures that are ecologically and economically unstable, making forests prone to soil erosion, limited water retention, rockfall and avalanches, as well as rapid spread of pests and diseases.

Supported Project

L’OCCITANE Germany and the L’OCCITANE Foundation are supporting a project to restore forest biodiversity that aims to recreate and conserve the biodiversity of natural habitats to ensure the ecosystem services provided by the forest. The position of forests against climate change is reinforced.

The reforestation programme, open to volunteers, aims to select areas with a positive impact on the environment and contributes to raising awareness of environmentally friendly practices.
