Supported project

In 2020, L'OCCITANE Japan and the L'OCCITANE Foundation are supporting the Asian Prevention of Blindness Association in order to execute free screening tests by local doctors in Myanmar and perform cataract surgeries if needed.

The APB will cooperate with local staffs from the Javidana Shonga Hospital, the Mandalar Eye Clinic and the Mandalay National Eye Hospital. Local doctors will visit various towns located around Mandalay and screen people who have eye health issues. Among them, around a thousand will also receive treatments, glasses and surgeries. In order to do so, the APB will train 6 medical specialists and buy one new phaco machine.
